NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF HEAT TRANSFER IN BRAZILIANS WOOD SPECIES EXPOSED TO FIRE
Main Article Content
Abstract
From experimental results of the temperature increase in Brazilians wooden species exposed to fire, a comparison with numeric results for the temperature distribution is presented. The numeric models use 4-node linear quadrilateral finite elements for the heat transfer analysis in solid domains with boundary condition in convection and radiation or prescribed temperatures in fire condition. The wood properties adopted for the temperatures calculation take in account the principles of the European normalization. The obtained results indicate the need of adjustments in the following properties presented by the European normalization: specific heat, thermal conductivity and density variation, with the goal to adjust the heat transfer analysis in Brazilians species.
