EVALUATION OF THE DEMANDED LOAD OF PHYSICAL WORK IN ACTIVITIES OF FURNITURE PRODUCTION IN DISTRITO FEDERAL - BRAZIL

Abstract
This research was carried out in carpentries in the city of Brasilia DF (Brazil), aiming at evaluating the physical workload of the employees in different activities of the furniture industry. The physical workload was gotten in a survey of the cardiac frequency in the work. The activities had been considered light, with exception of to rough-hew, that was considered heavy work. The calculation of the time of rest was not necessary because the maximum limit of 40% of the cardiac frequency was not exceeded.
