Copernicia prunifera (CARNAUBA) WAXEN PRODUCTION MODELING IN THE CAMPO MAIOR COUNTRY - PIAUÍ
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study was developed in the Farm Arial located in Campo Maior-PI, with an area of 229 ha of native vegetation of carnauba Copernicia prunifera (Miller) H. E. Moore. The main goal was to model the wax powder productivity by using regression techniques. A stratified sampling technique in two strata as function of population density (N) was used. The actual sampling error was 4,18% with the confidence interval for the wax powder productivity of 9,584 £ mI £ 10,804 kg/ha in the stratum I and 10,069 £ mII £ 11,398 kg/ha in the stratum II. The final equations for stratum I and II were ^pp = 210,044 + 22,373 N and ^pp = (4,272+0,068 N)4,032 respectively.
