AROEIRA (Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi) SEEDLING PRODUCTION FOR RECUPERATING BAUXITE MINED AREAS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This work evaluated aroeira (Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi) seedling quality (diameter, height, dry weight and root growth potential), cultivated in different plastic tube sizes and evaluated the seedling post-planting performance in the field cultivated in plastic tubes and in plastic bags. It was found that plastic tube size and seedling densities, significantly, influenced the seedling quality (diameter, height, dry weight and root growth potential). The seedling post-planting performance did not show significant difference when cultivated in plastic tubes or in plastic bags.
