Abstract
The objective of this work was to evaluate the management and strategic vision of Ubá furniture industrial park toward the forest certification. The study focused on the companies potentially for obtaining certification, considering only the export companies. A questionnaire was prepared to collect information on the companies knowledge and view regarding forest certification, as well as the perception of market consumer. Most companies were unaware of the certification, and at present, their customers are not sensible to it; however, certification will be necessary to meet the future demands of their customers, both for domestic and foreign markets. It was concluded that the forest certification does not take part of these companies strategy, but it will constitute an excellent opportunity for their valuation and differentiation.
