INFLUENCE OF SITE ON PROPERTIES OF WOOD OF Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to characterize the physical, mechanical and colorimetric wood of Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis from regions of Mambaí and Catalão-GO-GO, with the influence of these site properties. There were statistical differences in the properties (shrinkage radial, anisotropy factor, MOE and MOR) of wood between the two studied sites. This shows that the productive capacity of a given area (site), which combines the biotic factors, climatic and soil conditions have influence on the development of the tree, producing differences in the formation of wood and consequently on their properties.
